Sweetly Sixties: My take on Sandy Olsson’s 1960s Style

Polka dots are the best thing ever. I mean, how do you not look at them and simply smile?
This week’s photo shoot features my favourite Hell Bunny dress- a stunning red, white and black number that will make your knees weak. Yes, I said weak. You might even faint! I know for a fact, you will fall in love with it as much as I have!

Dress: Modcloth Cardigan: Fairweather Tights: Modcloth Shoes: Aldo Watch: Bizou
I chose this dress this week not only because it’s super adorable and always makes me smile, but because I felt that it best reflected the style that Sandy Olsson has at the start of the movie Grease.
This week’s earlier post (Style Icon of the Week: Sandy Olsson from the Hit Movie Grease) showed us that you too can be inspired by her look and create your own interpretations of her style by looking for full, swinging skirts, lace up shoes, and dresses and tops that nip in at the waist. Follow these easy guidelines like I did, and wind up with an equally adorable Sandy ensemble! Check back later this week for my take on Sandy’s second look!

Until next time,
